VILLA DEL POGGIO

Ein Badezimmer und ein WC dazu wäre nicht schlecht. Sonst Perfect!!!

The photos of this lovely villa don't really do it justice. It is on a hill surrounded by fruit and olive trees and being high up it is certainly cooler at night, helped by the air-con in living room and large fan. Its position is perfect for exploring the whole of north-west Sicily with excellent road links to the west coast. The staff could not have been more helpful and suggested and arranged 2 boat trips for us and also managed to help us replace a tyre that got damaged on the rather uneven smaller roads! Could not have hoped for a nicer place to stay for 2 wonderful weeks. Thank you all so much.

We loved our stay at VdP this summer. The pool is a great size and a perfect temperature to cool off on hot days. The furniture and parasol around the pool are great to relax on. The views from the terrasse and pool are stunning. The accommodation was good, though we found the double beds to be very hard and the sole air conditioner in the living room did not keep the bedrooms cool at night (main building only, annexe was perfectly cool).
The kitchen was a bit short on large dinner plates and cutlery but had everything else. plus it was easy to cook in and the barbecue was great to cook on.
Nicoletta came midweek to provide some help and bring some delicious pastries that she had made from her own fig jam. Very nice!
The table tennis table was great fun for the family and there were balls and bats provided too. The trees around the villa were still fruiting so we had some plums and figs to eat.
The accommodation is a short drive to a great bakery that also does dinner and takeaway pizzas and the restaurants of Scopello are 15min away.
We were a little disappointed by the safety notices at the pool regarding not using sun creams and not jumping into it. As a family with young children, we struggle to let them into the pool without protection from the sun and their natural inclination is to want to jump into the water!
Overall the Villa was very good and we would recommend it.

Posizione splendida con vista mozzafiato sul golfo di Scopello Paesaggio davvero potente. La villa e' circondata da alberi da frutta ed uliveto. Di giorno si odono solo grilli e cicale. Di notte il silenzio ed il cielo stellato sono La piscina a sfioro contribuisce ad enfatizzare i colori e la sensazione di assoluto relax.

Our family visited Villa Del Poggio in october and the weather was shifting. The villa is best suited for warm weather because of the lovely outdoor surroundings; the terrace, the pool, the view to the bay and surrounding mountains and olive groves.
Villa Del Poggio is situated in close distance to many interesting sites.
Eliana made us feel very welcome and we recommend visiting this lovely villa.

The location of the property and the view are incredible but the road up to the house is challenging to say the least. The gardens are beautifully kept. The fridge and air con weren't working properly but Eliana did get someone to look at them very promptly but they never worked as efficiently as we would have liked but overall the property and facilities are great.

We, 2 adults and 3 children, had the best holiday here in Villa del Poggio. It was hot but thanks to the pool and the air con, we have enjoyed it-
Thank you Eliana for the help, when our daughter needed medical care. We are forever grateful.
Now, rested and tanned, we are about to go back to the cold north Denmark.

Es war ein wunderschoner Urlaub. Der Blick von dieser Villa ist einfach fantastische. Man kann hier einfach die Seele baumeln lassen. Das ganze Ambiente war sehr stimming und man konnte sich wie zu Hause fuellen.

Grazie Eliana, we spent one of our best week (first week of May, 2015) in this fantastic villa. For those who looking for a peasfull and breath taking view - this is the place. The swiming pool is something special!!! The villa made in rustik stile but it is so clean and fresh!!! There are so many great possibilities for people who love cook - inside owen, outside patios! We felt in love with the place and villa and for sure will be back!!!
